BR1-04: Dog spell

Early one morning, Farmer Crumb and his wife set off to work in the fields. Their daughter Kate carried a picnic basket, full of food. After they worked hard all morning, it became the time for lunch. Kate ran off to the barn where she had hidden their picnic basket. But when she went into the barn, an old witch was sleeping with empty basket. Kate got angry and wake the witch up. The witch was very surprised and wake up, and she also became angry. After her casted a spell to Kate, Kate got on the ground and barked like a dog. Kate crawled back to her parents. She couldn’t say anything. Her mother cried and her father chased after the witch. The witch just laughed, as she flew off on her broomstick. Kate had done nothing but bark three days. The parents went to see a wizard in order to find the witch who made Kate like a dog. The wizard found her through crystal ball, and casted a spell to her. After the casting, she saw the frame creeping up on her. She cried and promised to break her spell. As soon as the witch made her promise, Kate jumped and spoke. The family never saw the witch again but after that, Kate was always careful where she hid the picnic basket. [225 words]
