Runner ~Asano Atsuko~

Do you know Asano Atsuko? She is a famous Japanese writer. She often write young days. I knew her name but I had never read her story because I didn’t like reading. “Battery” is one of the most famous stories. Runner that is the book I read is also famous. Runner is a story that a boy, Aoi, was caught between family’s problem and club’s. Once he belonged to a track and field club, but after a competition, he quitted his club. Firstly he had thought his quitting the club was because of his home affairs. His family is fatherless family and his mother had mental disorder because her husband betrayed her. She sometimes abused her daughter because the daughter, Anzu is similar to former husband. Aoi knew the problem, so he defends his sister from his mother’s abusing. He loved running very much, so he didn’t have to quit his club, but he had feared defeating. One day, he noticed he really like to run thanks to the manager of the club. She is a good manager and she also like her job. She secretly love the supervisor of the club. The supervisor, man, likes Aoi’s running style. In spite of Aoi is a man, she felt jealous of him because he was paid attention by the supervisor. She also wanted to be paid attention.
Finally, Aoi belongs to the club again, and he notices many things. I think he is very strong. I mean he is very tough physically and mentally. On the other hand, I think I’m very weak. I could get some courage thanks to him.
This story had many conflict and many problem but I feel better when I finished reading this book.
I like Asano Atsuko’s story because her story encourage me. When I feel very tired, I can get some vitality, so I will read her another book. I’ve already borrowed the book from library. I had not been interested in reading a book, but these days my hobby is reading. I don’t think it won’t to be long, but I want to read so I read. I could meet good author. I recommend you her books.
